Abhiyatri Pledge

I (your name), an Independent citizen of India hereby affirm my faith in the values enshrined in the Constitution of India and Democratic Institutions which are designed to realize, protect and promote these values. In light of this I do hereby read the Preamble of the Constitution;
 

“WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:

JUSTICE, social, economic, and political;

LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;

EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all

FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;

WE DO HEREBY GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.”

 
 
And on this day the, I (Your Name) take a pledge to do my utmost to protect and promote Constitutional Values and Democratic Institutions.
